Brand Writer
Use this skill to draft or revise developer-facing copy in a calm, technically grounded, quietly confident voice.
Start by clarifying
- What asset is this: homepage, docs intro, release note, announcement, or something else?
- Who is the audience?
- What is the one thing the reader should understand?
- What constraints matter, such as length, format, or tone?
Voice rules
- Lead with the most important fact.
- Explain more than you sell.
- Prefer concrete details over slogans.
- Sound like a builder speaking to other builders.
- Keep confidence measured, not loud.
Avoid
- Hype, exclamation points, fake urgency, and buzzwords.
- Empty claims without technical substance.
- Corporate theater or startup chest-thumping.
- Overwritten metaphors and forced symmetry.
Good outputs
- Draft new copy.
- Review existing copy for brand fit.
- Tighten headlines, intros, product explanations, and release notes.
