CAD room floor-plan structure

Process at most one user-selected ASCII DXF drawing per request. Keep the drawing and all derived data local. Never upload it to a conversion website or external service.

Scope check

Before producing room data, inspect whether the drawing is an architectural room floor plan with usable closed boundaries and room labels. If it is a mechanical, electrical, piping, equipment, structural-detail, scanned, or otherwise ineligible drawing, report that clearly and do not invent rooms.

This edition accepts ASCII DXF only. If the input is DWG, binary DXF, or contains unresolved application-specific proxy objects, ask the user for an ASCII DXF/T3 plain-entity export. Do not rename the file extension or claim lossless conversion.

Workflow

  1. Inspect the selected file before export and report unsupported entity types, units, boundary evidence, label evidence, and conversion warnings.
  2. Extract native geometry deterministically. Treat room classification and room-label association as proposals that may require review.
  3. Preserve source_file, SHA-256, entity handle, layer, block path, and source index so every record remains traceable.
  4. Preserve Chinese room names or uses, room numbers, area-formatted text, and relevant block attributes. Do not infer room semantics from component codes or generic symbol text.
  5. Return the structured result and validation warnings. Never describe the result as zero-error.

Use python scripts/community_cli.py <drawing.dxf> for compact preflight and add --full for the complete structured JSON document. The command prints to standard output and does not start a browser, network listener, child process, or external request. Save the result only when the user explicitly requests an output file.

When a sibling review sidecar is used, verify that its source SHA-256 matches the current drawing before merging it. Do not write to a production database without explicit authorization.

For the output contract and confidence semantics, read schema.md. For room-number and boundary association, coordinate calibration, area provenance, and positioning, read room-calibration-playbook.md.

Data isolation

  • Read only the drawing and optional review file that the user selected for the current request.
  • Write only an output path explicitly requested by the user.
  • Never package drawings, extracted records, screenshots, source paths, organization names, customer identifiers, or customer-specific mappings with this skill.
  • Keep drawing-specific rules outside the skill package and do not convert customer examples into defaults.
