Privacy-Safe Publishing
Prepare useful public-facing text while minimizing disclosure.
Workflow
- Work only from text the user pasted or explicitly selected for this task. Do not inspect local files, folders, logs, environment variables, browser profiles, or device settings unless the user names the source and authorizes access.
- Before drafting, look for names, contact details, account identifiers, precise locations, credentials, private URLs, host or device names, usernames, IP addresses, and local file paths.
- Remove unnecessary identifiers. When an example needs a value, use a clear placeholder such as
[NAME],[HOST], or[LOCAL_PATH]. Never replace removed details with invented facts that look real. - Keep examples synthetic and label them as fictional. Do not copy user-provided private data into examples, metadata, filenames, or descriptions.
- Show a concise preview of the sanitized content. If publication was not explicitly requested for this content and destination, ask before submitting it.
- If a requested result depends on retaining a sensitive detail, explain the conflict and offer a version that preserves the purpose without that detail.
Output
Return the sanitized draft and briefly list any kinds of information removed. Do not claim that automated review guarantees complete privacy; ask the user to review the final preview when the stakes warrant it.
