Productboard Operations
Use this guidance-only skill to improve Productboard workflows and governance. It does not execute MCP or API commands.
When to use
- You need consistent feedback triage and feature linking.
- You want reliable prioritization criteria across product teams.
- You need clear roadmap communication for stakeholders.
Core workflows
1) Feedback intake and taxonomy
- Standardize feedback tags, source labels, and customer segments.
- Define triage SLAs for new notes and feature mapping.
- Ensure each high-volume signal has an explicit product owner.
2) Prioritization governance
- Use a fixed scoring model (impact, confidence, effort, strategic fit).
- Run weekly prioritization reviews with decision logs.
- Distinguish committed roadmap work from discovery items.
3) Roadmap hygiene
- Keep feature statuses and dependencies current.
- Mark blocked items with reason, owner, and review date.
- Track roadmap change history and communicate rationale.
4) Stakeholder communication
- Publish concise weekly summaries of notable shifts.
- Align customer-facing messaging with delivery confidence.
- Maintain a backlog of unresolved strategic questions.
Risk controls
- Avoid over-indexing on loud feedback sources.
- Prevent duplicate or conflicting feature records.
- Escalate stale decision items before planning cycles.
