Logology Platform Help
Logology (logology.co) is a strategy-led budget logo maker aimed at startup founders who want a professional brand identity fast. Unlike the "type your name → instant AI concepts" peers, Logology opens with an 11-question brand personality test (to determine your brand values and marketing voice), then matches you to pre-made "logo proposals" — curated from 500+ original designs crafted in-house by its art director (not a shared icon/clip-art database) — that reflect those values. You pick a favorite, adjust colors and fonts, and pay only after you've chosen (no signup to start). It's the branding/logo step for founders, indie makers, and small businesses. It's a peer of the budget logo cluster (Looka / Brandmark / LogoAI / Mojomox / DesignEvo / Namecheap), but two facts frame every answer and set it apart:
(1) It's QUESTIONNAIRE-FIRST and STRATEGY-LED — not name→instant-AI, not a template library. The flow is
brand personality test (11 questions) → matched pre-made proposals → customize → pay-after-you-pick. There's no
"type your name and get AI concepts in seconds" (that's /sales-logocrafter / /sales-logoai / /sales-brandmark)
and no blank template grid to fill (/sales-hatchful / /sales-designevo). Great if you want the tool to reason
about your brand before showing marks; the wrong tool if you just want instant machine output.
(2) ONE-TIME pricing, and VECTOR/EXCLUSIVITY are TIER UPGRADES. Three one-time tiers (no subscription):
Start ~$69 = PNG only on a non-exclusive pre-made mark; Grow ~$119 adds source/vector files +
color/layout variations; Establish ~$799 is a custom logo designed for you with exclusive rights +
full copyright transfer + a brand-definition call. So the cheap tiers give a shared, non-exclusive design and
PNG-only vector-less output — vector and true ownership cost more. It is UI-only — there is NO public API
(see Step 4).
Step 1 — Gather context
If references/learnings.md exists, read it first for accumulated platform knowledge.
Ask only what you can't infer:
- What do you want from Logology?
- A) Understand the brand personality test → matched proposals workflow (is this the right kind of tool?)
- B) Choose a tier (Start vs Grow vs Establish — what each includes, one-time)
- C) Understand the download / formats — PNG vs source/vector files, and which tier unlocks vector
- D) Ownership / exclusivity — is my mark unique, do I own it, is it a trademark?
- E) Integrate or automate ("API" / bulk generation — see Step 4)
- Have you validated the idea and locked the name yet? A logo is downstream — if not, route out (Step 2).
Skip-ahead: a name (not a logo) → /sales-namelix; the validate-before-building method or a branding-tool
comparison → /sales-idea-validation; wider social/marketing creative → /sales-canva — route in Step 2.
Step 2 — Route or answer directly
| If the user's question is about… | Route to |
|---|---|
| Instant AI-generated logo concepts from your name (not a questionnaire flow) | /sales-logocrafter {question} or /sales-logoai {question} |
| A template-based logo maker (pick + fill a template) | /sales-hatchful {question} or /sales-designevo {question} |
| A genuinely free logo — free vector SVG or free PNG | /sales-namecheap-logo-maker {question} (SVG) or /sales-hatchful {question} (PNG) |
| Generating the business name itself (not the logo) | /sales-namelix {question} |
| The validate-before-building method, or comparing branding/logo tools across the market | /sales-idea-validation {question} |
| Building the wider social/marketing creative or a design system at scale | /sales-canva {question} |
When routing, give the exact command: "This is a {domain} question — run: /sales-namelix {original question}"
Otherwise, answer Logology-specific questions using Step 3.
Step 3 — Logology platform reference
Read references/platform-guide.md for the full reference — the brand-personality-test → matched-proposals →
customize → pay-after-you-pick workflow and every module's automation tag; the three one-time tiers
(Start/Grow/Establish) with exactly what each includes (PNG-only vs source/vector files vs custom + exclusive
rights) and the brand-guidelines add-on; the pre-made-vs-custom / exclusivity split (why Start/Grow marks
are non-exclusive and only Establish is unique to you); the file-format reality (PNG at the cheap tier,
vector is a tier upgrade — and where to get free vector instead); the original-in-house-art point (designs
are crafted in-house, not a shared icon database — but a matched pre-made mark is still reusable by others until
you go custom); the ownership/originality/trademark caveats and the clearance workflow; and the
no-public-API reality (why generation can't be scripted and what to use instead).
Answer using only the relevant section — don't dump the full reference.
Step 4 — Actionable guidance
Flag all pricing/format details as best-effort and tell the user to confirm current terms at logology.co — tier names, prices, exact formats, and the brand-guidelines add-on price have moved and third-party listings disagree.
- Set expectations first: it's a strategy-led, questionnaire-driven matcher — not instant AI, not templates.
Logology has you take an 11-question brand personality test, then matches you to pre-made proposals that
fit your values; you customize colors/fonts and download. If the user actually wants instant AI concepts from a
name, route to
/sales-logocrafter//sales-logoai; if they want a template library, route to/sales-hatchful//sales-designevo. Don't oversell Logology as a from-scratch AI generator. - Spell out the three ONE-TIME tiers — and that they escalate on formats AND exclusivity. Start ~$69 = PNG only, basic brand guidelines, a non-exclusive pre-made mark (lifetime use & modification license). Grow ~$119 = adds source/vector files + 12 color/layout variations (still a pre-made mark). Establish ~$799 = a custom logo made just for you, lifetime exclusive rights + full copyright transfer, and a 1-hour brand-definition call. Payment is one-time, not a subscription, and you pay only after you pick a logo (post-selection payment, no signup to start). A full brand-guidelines document is an optional add-on (reported from ~$599).
- Vector is a tier upgrade — the cheap tier is PNG-only. At Start (~$69) you get PNG only (no scalable
vector); source/vector files begin at Grow (~$119). If the user needs a print-scalable vector on a budget
or for free, that's a mismatch — route to
/sales-namecheap-logo-maker(free vector SVG); for a free PNG,/sales-hatchful. Don't imply the $69 tier includes vector. - Exclusivity matters: Start/Grow marks are pre-made and NON-EXCLUSIVE. The library is original in-house art
(a plus vs shared-icon tools like Namecheap/LogoMakr), but a matched pre-made proposal can be selected by
another customer too — it isn't unique to you until you buy Establish (~$799), which is custom + exclusive +
copyright transfer. If a user needs a one-of-a-kind, owned-outright mark, point them at Establish (or a
done-for-you human service like
/sales-logonerds//sales-logodesign-net's custom lane). - Lock the name (and validate the idea) before you brand. A logo is downstream: validate demand first
(
/sales-idea-validation), settle the name (/sales-namelix), then brand — never pay for a mark for a name you might still change. Logology's free-to-start, pay-after-you-pick flow is a low-commitment first pass. - A commercial license is not a registered trademark — do your own clearance. Even the exclusive Establish tier grants rights/copyright, not a registered trademark. And a matched pre-made mark can be non-distinctive (others may hold similar marks). Before building a brand on it, run a USPTO/EUIPO search + distinctiveness check in the right class, a reverse-image search on the mark, and grab the domain + social handles.
- There is NO public API — don't plan a pipeline around it. If asked to "use the Logology API" or generate logos in bulk from a script, be precise: it's a UI-only web tool — no REST endpoints, no webhooks, no Zapier/Make, no MCP — so the personality-test flow and downloads cannot be scripted. For programmatic or bulk logo/image generation, use an image-generation service with a documented API and vectorize downstream.
If you discover a gotcha or tip not in references/learnings.md, append it there with today's date.
Gotchas
Best-effort from research (2026-07) — tiers, prices, formats, and the brand-guidelines add-on move; verify at logology.co. Third-party listings and the homepage have disagreed on exact tier contents.
- Questionnaire-first, not instant-AI or templates. The flow is an 11-question brand personality test →
matched pre-made proposals → customize → download. Want instant AI from a name →
/sales-logocrafter//sales-logoai; want a template to fill →/sales-hatchful//sales-designevo. - ONE-TIME pricing, not a subscription. Three one-time tiers (Start ~$69 / Grow ~$119 / Establish ~$799), and you pay only after you pick a logo (post-selection payment, no signup to start).
- The cheap tier is PNG-only — vector is a tier upgrade. Start (~$69) = PNG only; source/vector files
start at Grow (~$119). For free vector use
/sales-namecheap-logo-maker; for a free PNG use/sales-hatchful. - Start/Grow marks are PRE-MADE and NON-EXCLUSIVE. The art is original in-house (not a shared icon
catalog), but a matched proposal isn't unique to you — only Establish (~$799) is custom + **exclusive rights
- copyright transfer**.
- Brand guidelines are light by default; the full brand book is an add-on (reported from ~$599) — not a full multi-asset brand kit like Looka/LogoAI ship.
- A license is not a registered trademark. Even Establish's exclusive rights ≠ a trademark; a pre-made mark can be non-distinctive → run USPTO/EUIPO clearance + a reverse-image search before building a brand on it.
- There is NO public API, webhooks, Zapier/Make, or MCP. UI-only web tool; generation can't be scripted.

Examples
Example 1: "How does Logology work — does it just spit out a logo from my name?"
User says: "Everyone says Logology is different — does it generate a logo from my company name like the AI ones?"
Skill does: Explains Logology is questionnaire-first / strategy-led — you take an 11-question brand
personality test, and it matches you to pre-made proposals (500+ original in-house designs) that reflect your
brand values, which you then customize and pay for only after picking. If they'd rather have concepts
generated for them, routes them to an instant-AI generator (/sales-logocrafter, /sales-logoai) or a
template library (/sales-hatchful, /sales-designevo) so they pick the right kind of tool.
Result: The user picks the right tool for whether they want a strategy-led match or instant machine output.
Example 2: "Which Logology tier do I need for a scalable vector file I fully own?"
User says: "I need a vector logo I own outright for signage. Is the $69 plan enough?"
Skill does: Explains the tiers are one-time and escalate on both formats and exclusivity: Start
(~$69) = PNG only, non-exclusive pre-made mark; Grow (~$119) adds source/vector files (still pre-made);
Establish (~$799) is custom + exclusive rights + copyright transfer. So $69 is not enough — for a vector
they own uniquely they need Establish (or accept Grow's vector on a non-exclusive mark). Notes a license ≠
trademark and to run clearance, and if they want free vector instead, routes to /sales-namecheap-logo-maker.
Result: The user matches tier to their real need (vector + true ownership) instead of underbuying.
Example 3: "Can I hit the Logology API to generate logos in bulk?" (developer/automation)
User says: "How do I call the Logology API to auto-generate marks for 30 brands from a script?" Skill does: States Logology has no public API — it's a UI-only web tool with no REST endpoints, webhooks, Zapier/Make, or MCP — and the personality-test flow cannot be scripted. Suggests an image-generation service with a documented API for programmatic logo generation at volume, and vectorizing downstream. Does not invent endpoints. Result: The user avoids building on a nonexistent API and picks a workable path.
Troubleshooting
"Is my $69 Logology logo unique to me?"
Symptom: The user assumes the cheap tier gives a one-of-a-kind, owned-outright mark.
Cause: Start (~$69) and Grow (~$119) deliver a pre-made proposal matched from the shared library —
it's non-exclusive (another customer could select the same base design) and grants a use/modification license,
not exclusivity.
Solution: If uniqueness matters, buy Establish (~$799) — a custom logo + exclusive rights + copyright
transfer — or use a done-for-you human service (/sales-logonerds, /sales-logodesign-net's custom lane). Either
way, a license ≠ a registered trademark → run USPTO/EUIPO clearance + a reverse-image search.
"I only got a PNG — where's my vector file?"
Symptom: The user downloaded from the cheapest tier and has no scalable vector.
Cause: Start (~$69) is PNG-only; source/vector files start at Grow (~$119).
Solution: Upgrade to Grow (or higher) for source/vector files, or — if they want vector for free — use
/sales-namecheap-logo-maker (free vector SVG). Confirm the exact formats per tier at logology.co, as listings
disagree.
